Now that Shia LaBeouf has confirmed he quit his role after TRANSFORMERS: DARK OF THE MOON, there's a possibility that Jason Statham is being lined up as the franchise's next leading man. According to insiders, the inclusion of Jason Statham will be able to bring the next installment into darker territory. Plus, he is engaged to Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, who plays Carly in TRANSFORMERS: DARK OF THE MOON, which also gives him an advantage to land the lead role.
"It's clear the franchise still has huge potential but with a new leading man capable of taking Transfomers 4 in a new, darker direction. Jason Statham could be just the man to do that and his relationship with Rosie would be an added bonus in marketing the movie."
