Looks like Sony has finally found their replacement director for their highly-anticipated Naughty Dog's hit videogame, UNCHARTED: DRAKE'S FORTUNE after original helmer David O. Russell (THE FIGHTER) left over creative differences. That director is Neil Burger, who has recently scored a box-office hit in LIMITLESS with star Bradley Cooper.
Sony is reportedly secured Burger as the director because they were impressed with his fresh take on the original script, which was written by Thomas Dean Donnelly and Joshua Oppenheimer.
But at this point, it is unclear whether Mark Wahlberg, who was originally set to star in David O. Russell's version of the project, will remain on board.
Whatever it is, Sony has very high hope on UNCHARTED: DRAKE'S FORTUNE, in which they are expecting their movie adaptation to kickstart as a potential launch in the vein of INDIANA JONES-like franchise.
