Now this what I called an ambitious local movie that dares to go far beyond the genre norm. Writer-director Mamat Khalid is often associated to comedy genre, but this time he makes a radical departure by helming his first action movie called APOKALIPS X (literally titled as "APOCALYPSE X"). What's more, the movie is loosely based on Takashi Miike's CROWS ZERO (2007). Take a look at the teaser trailer below.
APOKALIPS X doesn't have an actual release date yet, although it schedules to hit theaters in 2011. The movie stars Farid Kamil, Jehan Miskin, Iqeam Dizly, Adam AF, Peter Davis, Pekin Ibrahim and Zoe Tan.
