My, my... how long it has been since we last saw a memorable, let alone good movie that starred Renee Zellweger? I have to say her star popularity has waned a lot these days, and it's about time she needs to rejuvenate her career back on track. Now according to an exclusive report from EW, Zellweger might be reprising her popular role as Bridget Jones in the third installment confirmed by Working Title Films. Although no other details (namely casting) are given at this point, the third BRIDGET JONES movie will be returning to the big screen in the near future.
First seen in 2001, the franchise began life with BRIDGET JONES'S DIARY, which was an international hit, raking in a whopping $281 million at the box-office. The second movie, BRIDGET JONES: THE EDGE OF REASON (2004) was heavily criticized, although it still made money at an equally respectable $262 million worldwide.
So what do you think? Do we really need another BRIDGET JONES movie?
