Who is Naturi Naughton anyway? She may have not been a household name, but she did appear in movies like NOTORIOUS (2009) where she plays Lil' Kim and FAME (2009). Not only that, she used to be part of the singing group called 3LW in which she has recorded two albums.
Now she has reportedly being cast as Cecilia Reyes in James Mangold-directed sequel, THE WOLVERINE. The studio is yet to confirm the casting at this time.
Cecilia Reyes is a trauma surgeon who happens to be a mutant with the special ability to create a force field around her body. Despite her superpower, Cecilia only wants to live a normal life rather than embracing herself as a superhero. At this point, it's hardly known how her character will fit into THE WOLVERINE storyline, which will takes place in Japan, and features Hugh Jackman's title character searching for more information on his background.
THE WOLVERINE is scheduled to hit theaters on 2012.
