Oh, another sad news. Justin Lin had previously left the director's chair to helm HIGHLANDER remake. And now it is reported that the much sought-after director is forced to leave TERMINATOR 5, due to scheduling conflicts since he is currently committed to make FAST & FURIOUS 6. Apparently the reason for him to do so is because rights owner Megan Ellison and Arnold Schwarzenegger have set TERMINATOR 5 to begin production on the fourth quarter of 2012.
However, Justin Lin might be back to direct if Megan Ellison and Arnold Schwarzenegger are willing to wait for him to complete FAST & FURIOUS 6.
As of now, TERMINATOR 5 is still in a very early stage of development and no script is ready at all.
