THE DARKNESS Sees The Light Of Live-Action Movie Tunnel

Mandeville Films, the Walt Disney-affiliated production house behind last year's THE FIGHTER wants to adapt Top Cow's THE DARKNESS into a live-action movie. THE DARKNESS, which was one of Top Cow's most popular comics, has sold over 115 books and 25 million copies. THE DARKNESS also proved to be so popular that the property has already led to a successful video game and upcoming sequel in October.

THE DARKNESS centers on Jackie Estacado, a Mafia hit man who discovers he has inherited a murderous power known as "the darkness" which allows him to summon creatures from another realm. The comic series was created in 1996 by Top Cow founder Mark Silvestri, along with Garth Ennis and David Wohl. For more information about the comic, you can check it out right here.
