Oh... Danny DeVito, where art thou? It's been a long while since we see DeVito last directed a movie. His two last directing efforts were DUPLEX (2003) and a TV movie called QUEEN B (2005).
Now he returns to directing for his adaptation of the Newbery award-winning book, THE TRUE CONFESSIONS OF CHARLOTTE DOYLE, which will be boosted by Morgan Freeman and Pierce Brosnan. However, according to the producers, the role of Charlotte Doyle is currently being cast. Here's what DeVito had to say about his latest directing effort:
I’m delighted that Morgan Freeman and Pierce Brosnan have remained committed to play the two lead adult characters. I’m looking forward to casting Charlotte in what is an amazing role for a teenage actress.
The movie is expected to begin rolling in Ireland in 2012.
