In an exclusive interview with Empire, Colin Farrell has claimed that the upcoming TOTAL RECALL reboot, which scheduled for August 2012 release date, is different than the original Paul Verhoeven-Arnold Schwarzenegger version of the same name. Here's what he had to say below:
"It's really different. The story is very much inspired by the Philip K. Dick short story (We Can Remember It For You Wholesale) but it's been changed significantly. The world created is very different from the world in the original. I love the original but it's different enough that it warrants retelling."
Well, this isn't surprising anyway since director Len Wiseman has already intended to follow closely to Philip K. Dick's short story than relying heavily on Paul Verhoeven's gleefully violent version. Let's see if being "faithful" can do better when TOTAL RECALL hits theaters next year.
