With the new inclusion of Jean-Claude Van Damme, John Travolta, and Chuck Norris joining the growing all-star cast of Simon West's upcoming action sequel, THE EXPENDABLES 2, there comes another great news for action fans! According to Oriental Daily newspaper via Twitch, producer Avi Lerner had recently invited Donnie Yen and his family to a dinner while they are on vacation in the US. It was reported that Lerner has offered Yen a "tailor-made" role for THE EXPENDABLES 2 which will begins shooting in October.That's not all, as a spokesperson from Yen's company has confirmed that there was in fact an offer, and went on to announce that Yen might be interested for the sequel. However, he is currently has his hands tied with a number of projects to choose from and he is yet to decide whether he agrees to join the cast or not until he sees the script.
It would be such a fantastic inclusion if Donnie Yen agrees to star in THE EXPENDABLES 2. It would be even better if the studio gives him the creative freedom to choreograph the action sequence as well. And I must say, that would be an action fan's dream comes true!
