For the past few months, INCEPTION co-star Joseph Gordon-Levitt has been a popular speculation of various roles he might tackled The Riddler or Alberto Falcone a.k.a. The Holiday Killer for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES.
But Warner Bros. Pictures has finally ended the rumors and confirmed that Joseph Gordon-Levitt will play as Gotham City beat cop John Blake, who is assigned special duty under the command of Commissioner Gordon (Gary Oldman).
Additionally, Marion Cotillard has also been confirmed for the trilogy ending sequel as well. She will be taking on the role of Miranda Tate, a Wayne Enterprise board member eager to help Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) get his business back on track.Here is the official press release from Warner Bros.:
Warner Bros. Pictures announced today that Oscar® winner Marion Cotillard ("La Vie en Rose") and Joseph Gordon-Levitt have joined the cast of "The Dark Knight Rises," the epic conclusion to the Dark Knight legend.
Marion Cotillard will appear as Miranda Tate, a Wayne Enterprises board member eager to help a still-grieving Bruce Wayne resume his father's philanthropic endeavors for Gotham.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt will play John Blake, a Gotham City beat cop assigned to special duty under the command of Commissioner Gordon.
