MGM has already secured director Jose Padilha for their long-delayed ROBOCOP remake. And now they are looking for a cast to fill in the void.Three early contenders are mentioned to play the lead character of Officer Alex Murphy, a role originated by Peter Weller (1987's ROBOCOP and 1990's ROBOCOP 2). They are Keanu Reeves, Tom Cruise and Johnny Depp. (I would say these three actors are rather strange choices but then again, we never know)
