Jeremy Renner Gets Offered For THE BOURNE LEGACY

After months of speculations who's-going-to-get-the-lead-role for Tony Gilroy-directed THE BOURNE LEGACY, Universal Pictures has finally offered Jeremy Renner to play a new character. A fast-rising actor who garnered mass attention, thanks to his double Oscar nominations in the past two years for THE HURT LOCKER and THE TOWN, is expected to sign on the dotted line in no time. Production will begins in September.

Before Renner is getting the offer, the studio has previously tested other actors as well including the likes of Joel Edgerton (THE THING), Dominic Cooper (THE DEVIL'S DOUBLE), Garrett Hedlund (TRON: LEGACY), Luke Evans (THE AMATEUR AMERICAN), Taylor Kitsch (THE BANG BANG CLUB) and Anthony Mackie (THE HURT LOCKER).

No doubt Jeremy Renner is a spot-on inspiring choice to tackle such physically demanding role for THE BOURNE LEGACY, and I have strong feeling he'll be as successful as Matt Damon in the BOURNE trilogy. What do you think, guys?
