After original director Kenneth Branagh unexpectedly left THOR 2, Marvel Studios has been actively looking for possible replacement. And I'm sure fans will be surprised to hear that the studio might go with their odd choice of picking MONSTER director Patty Jenkins to helm the sequel!
MONSTER, is of course, the 2003's critically-acclaimed drama which famously earned Charlize Theron the much-deserved Best Actress Oscar.
The studio has set THOR 2 to be released on July 26, 2013. Chris Hemsworth will be returned as Thor, while THOR co-writer Don Payne is writing the script.
