First Look At Pedro Almodovar's THE SKIN I LIVE IN Teaser

When was the last time you really care about watching Spanish heartthrob Antonio Banderas in a movie? Well, his last best movie is perhaps the one where he dons the black mask as the sword-wielding Zorro. Boy, that was a long time ago and his subsequent roles in the movie are all forgettable.

Now Banderas made a smart career overhaul by reuniting with director Pedro Almodovar, in which they last collaborated in TIE ME UP! TIE ME DOWN! (1990). The result is a new intriguing movie called THE SKIN I LIVE IN. Here is how the synopsis sounds like.

Ever since his wife was burned in a car crash, Dr. Robert Ledgard (Banderas), an eminent plastic surgeon, has been interested in creating a new skin with which he could have saved her. After twelve years, he manages to cultivate a skin that is a real shield against every assault.

In addition to years of study and experimentation, Robert needed a further three things: no scruples, an accomplice and a human guinea pig. Scruples were never a problem. Marilia, the woman who looked after him from the day he was born, is his most faithful accomplice. And as for the human guinea pig...

THE SKIN I LIVE IN will be premiered at the upcoming Cannes Film Festival and here's a teaser trailer below.
