After the early announcement that Christopher Nolan's highly-anticipated THE DARK KNIGHT RISES will starts shooting, here comes an exciting news that (everyone) have been waiting for -- the first photo of Tom Hardy as Bane!
Here how's his first photo actually revealed -- Warner Bros. has launched an official website for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES where it only contains a cryptic audio file. Once deciphered, the voice is heard chanting "The fire rises," which leads to a Twitter account named @TheFireRises. That particular site will linked to another Warner Bros. site, which features an encrypted photo prompting users to tweet the hashtag #TheFireRises, which had to be done in order for this full shot to be revealed. Once encryption has been decrypted, there goes the first photo. (And I must admit, this Tom Hardy's Bane is so much mean-looking and badass than the one featured in 1997's much-maligned BATMAN & ROBIN!)
THE DARK KNIGHT RISES will rises into theaters on July 20, 2012.
