Okay, so SCREAM 4 is underperformed in the U.S. box-office, grossing at a mere $37.5 million after five weeks in theaters. But that doesn't stop Harvey Weinstein to proceed with more future SCREAM movies. In fact he is certain that SCREAM 5 is going to happen, and that Wes Craven will return to direct as well. Here's what Harvey Weinstein have to say below.
"I'm sure [director Wes Craven is] going to do a sequel, I'm sure he's going to do a sequel."
Perhaps Harvey Weinstein is confident about the possible fifth installment, especially since the foreign sales numbers for SCREAM 4 is strong enough to warrant for another sequel.
"Foreign [sales] are so strong that we'll do over $100 million worldwide. It's at $90 now, with about five or six major countries to go and a lot of small ones. We'll probably do $110 million. I wish it would have been better domestically. But it's not the worst thing in the world that's ever happened."
SCREAM 5 is in development.
