Remember that chorus of 80's popular pop anthem from Kenny Loggins' Footloose song?

Well, that was a memorable soundtrack from Herbert Ross's FOOTLOOSE (1984), which starred the then-unknown Kevin Bacon. The movie was a box-office sensation, and even earned 2 Academy Award nominations for Best Original Song (Footloose and Let's Hear It For The Boy)

Now, USA TODAY has the first-look photo of Craig Brewer's updated remake of FOOTLOOSE. The new movie stars Kenny Wormald, Julianne Hough and Dennis Quaid. Check it out below.

FOOTLOOSE is scheduled to hit theaters in U.S. on October 14, 2011. We locals probably get to see the movie at the same month but no actual release date has been confirmed yet.
