Osama Bin Laden's Death Will Be Part Of Kathryn Bigelow's Untitled Project

Last Sunday's breaking news of Al-Qaeda terrorist leader Osama Bin Laden has been shot dead by an elite American unit quickly triggers a spark of inspiration for THE HURT LOCKER director Kathryn Bigelow and screenwriter Mark Boal.

Back in December, Bigelow and Boal have been working on an untitled follow-up project to their award-winning THE HURT LOCKER (2009). The movie is said to be centered on a team of special-ops soldiers. Boal, who has a background in investigative journalism and contacts in military intelligence, based his project on the exact same team that killed Osama Bin Laden.

Mark will now reunite the script to include the 40-minute firefight which concluded in Osama Bin Laden's death.

Casting is currently in progress, although no offers will be made until Mark Boal completes the screenplay.
