After years of prepping for the long-awaited remake of ROBOCOP (in which director Darren Aronofsky was once attached but ultimately walked away), Brazilian director Jose Padilha (2007's ELITE SQUAD) confirmed that he has signed to direct the movie.
Along with Padilha being the confirmed director, screenwriter Joshua Zetumer is writing the script for the reboot. No words about when the production may start, although ROBOCOP has set its tentative release in 2013.
