AT LAST! After months of speculation, three-time Oscar nominee Amy Adams lands a coveted role as Lois Lane in the upcoming SUPERMAN reboot. (Now that's a very inspiring choice!)
The 36-year-old Adams first received the news on Sunday from director Zack Snyder, who phoned her from Paris. At that time, he was in Paris promoting his latest movie, SUCKER PUNCH which is currently showing in theaters worldwide.
Here's what Zack Snyder had to say about the actress.
"There was a big, giant search for Lois. For us it was a big thing and obviously a really important role. We did a lot of auditioning but we had this meeting with Amy Adams and after that I just felt she was perfect for it."
Snyder also added how is he going to depict his modern-day take on Lois Lane.
"It goes back to what I've said about Superman and making him really understandable for today. What's important to us is making him relevant and real and making him empathetic to today's audience so that we understand the decisions he makes. That applies to Lois as well. She has to be in the same universe as him [in tone and substance]."
SUPERMAN reboot will hit theaters in 2012. With Amy Adams already in the list, she will joins Henry Cavill, Diane Lane and Kevin Costner.
