Remember BILL & TED'S EXCELLENT ADVENTURE (1989) and BILL & TED'S BOGUS JOURNEY (1991)? Those two time-travel comedies are among the earliest effort that introduced the then-unknown Keanu Reeves into Hollywood stardom. The third proposed BILL & TED movie has been long in development every now and then.
Well, during 2010 Toronto Film Festival, MTV Movies Blog has caught up with Keanu Reeves and his co-star Alex Winter about the development of the third movie.
Here is what Keanu Reeves have to say:
"I believe the writers are six weeks away from a draft. No pressure, guys!"
That's not all. Reeves also revealing that the plot ties directly into the ending of BILL & TED'S BOGUS JOURNEY, when Bill and Ted's Wyld Stallyns became the best band in the universe.
"When we last got together, part of it was that Bill and Ted were supposed to have written the song that saved the world, and it hasn't happened," he said. "So they've now become kind of possessed by trying to do that. Then there's an element of time and they have to go back."
So what do you think, guys? Is Keanu Reeves a bit too far to play his iconic Ted character for the third time? Will the studio goes the de-aged effect technology populated in movies like THE CURIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTON (2008) and TRON: LEGACY (2010)?
