Bryan Singer Says X-MEN: FIRST CLASS Sequel Might Set In Vietnam, Or During Civil Rights Movement

With X-MEN: FIRST CLASS currently in theaters everywhere with positive reviews and reasonably good box-office run so far, producer Bryan Singer has already begin to spill out a few ideas about what sequel might go in the future. Here's what he had to say below.

"I don't know if every movie has to be a history lesson. But there's a lot of history to cover. If we sequelized this, it could inhabit a whole world of the 20th century. When ['First Class'] happened, Kennedy had not been assassinated and the Vietnam War hadn't happened yet. What's really interesting about the '60s setting is the civil rights movement."

Adding the Vietnam backdrop in the midst of the conflicted mutants agenda should be an interesting idea to go for the sequel. That would make a unique comic-book movie with strong political undertones.
