Universal Is Howling For THE WOLFMAN Reboot

Poor thing. Universal's highly-anticipated THE WOLFMAN (2010) which starred Benicio Del Toro and Anthony Hopkins, failed to live up its promise. Despite the critical and box-office failure, the studio had previously considered to do a sequel. However, it seems that Michael Tabb's script is being rewritten and retooled as an original movie.

The title remains sketchy at the moment, but WEREWOLF might be the possibility. The studio is said to be talking to prospective directors over the next couple of weeks and casting will take place shortly thereafter.

In this reboot, the movie will be more in line with the original 1941's THE WOLF MAN, directed by George Waggner.
