It's been a month since Walt Disney Pictures made breaking news when they announced that their much-anticipated big screen version of THE LONE RANGER was forced to halt production due to the escalating budget. However, the filmmakers behind the production were trying hard to reduce the budget in order to get the movie made one way or another. Up until then, the studio remained cold feet but now it seems that an agreement about the much-troubled production costs has been reached considerably.
Apparently, star Johnny Depp, who is set to play Tonto, as well as director Gore Verbinski and producer Jerry Bruckheimer, have all agreed to reduce their salary. That could mean that the project might be back on track, even though Walt Disney has not given any official word just yet.
So, will we finally get to see LONE RANGER after all? As of now, only time can tell.
