Now this is really interesting... If you think Eric Roberts was a cool addition as the main villain in THE EXPENDABLES (2010), the highly-anticipated sequel has a cooler (and rather unlikely) villain this time. Apparently Jean-Claude Van Damme has been confirmed as one of the main villains! The news is actually came from Van Damme's longtime collaborator, Sheldon Lettich, the writer-director behind LIONHEART (1990) and DOUBLE IMPACT (1991).
This will come as an excellent news for die-hard fans as well as Sylvester Stallone himself, who have long wanted the Muscles from Brussels to star in THE EXPENDABLES movie. Van Damme was previously attached to star in the first movie, but he rejected the offer.
No doubt the inclusion of Van Damme as the villain, who is presumably to go against Bruce Willis, is an inspiring choice for the sequel. Stay tuned for more updates!
