Kathryn Bigelow's heavily-anticipated follow-up to her Academy Award-winning THE HURT LOCKER (2009) has now gaining momentum especially after the breaking news of Osama Bin Laden's death.
While the script is currently being polished by Mark Boal, he and director Kathryn Bigelow have signed up their first actor. According to Los Angeles Times' 24 Frames, Australian Joel Edgerton will play a special operative in the picture. He also will be the part of an ensemble of male commandos. He can be next seen in Gavin O'Connor's MMA-fighting drama WARRIOR, which is scheduled for fall 2011.
