So Schwarzenegger has finally sealed a deal to return to acting for next year's THE EXPENDABLES 2 since his widespread sex scandal months ago. He also confirmed his other project with South Korean director Kim Jee-Woon in LAST STAND. Now he is currently in talks to star in an indie action thriller called CAPTIVE.
Written by Benjamin van der Veen and Kario Salem, the story centers on an American real estate magnate (Schwarzenegger) living in Brazil who is kidnapped and held for ransom. As he attempts to make an escape out of his armored-truck prison cell hidden in a Sao Paolo landfill, a detective specializing in kidnap and ransom cases works to find him.
No director has been determined yet, although CAPTIVE is aiming for a possible 2013 release date.
