INFERNAL AFFAIRS Director Andrew Lau To Take Over THE GUILLOTINES!

The much-troubled production of Peter Chan-produced martial art remake of the 1975's THE FLYING GUILLOTINE is finally back to life after INFERNAL AFFAIRS director Andrew Lau is replacing original helmer Teddy Chen to direct the $15 million period action drama.

Principal photography has started in Shanxi province of China in early September. The movie, like the original version, involves around the emperor's covert assassination squad in charge for carrying out secret missions. It stars Huang Xiaoming, Ethan Juan and Boran Jing. Award-winning action choreographer Lee Tat-Chiu and costume designer Dora Ng has also included in the production as well.
